For the bars:
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp coarse sea salt
- 2 cups coarsely chopped butterfinger bars (about 12 fun sized bars) (I cut them about 5 times width ways and once down the middle long ways)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Cream butter and sugars in mixing bowl
- Add the vanilla and eggs and mix until incorporated
- With mixer on low, add your dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, sea salt) until just combined.
- Stir in your chopped butterfingers
- Spread in a 9x13 baking dish and bake for 25 minutes (I used a glass pan and had to bake it for about 30-35 minutes)
- Remove from oven and let cool completely.
Butterfinger Buttercream Frosting
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup room temperature butter (1 stick)
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 2 1/2 - 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped butterfingers (about 4 fun sized bars)
Instructions:
- Cream butter and shortening until smooth
- With your mixer on low speed, add powdered sugar
- Turn up speed to medium and mix until smooth
- Spread the mixture on the blondies
- Sprinkle the chopped butterfingers on top
